Does your chewing gum lose its flavor on the bedpost overnight?

For details on the origin of this question, click this link:youtube.com/watch?v=b13gRaxHcXYPersonally, I don't have any bedposts on my own bed, but I've always been curious about those who do, and of course, WHY anyone would want to continue chewing on some gum, long after the original "burst of flavor" is gone. Lots of questions! Does your chewing gum lose its flavor on the bedpost overnight? No.It becomes dry, and needs some serious chewing before it is back to normal, but the (remaining) flavour is still there.

If your mother says don't chew it, do you swallow it in spite? No. I don't live at home any more, so this isn't a big problem any more. Can you catch it on your tonsils? No.

Most definitely I can't. (at least I seriously hope I can't)Can you heave it left and right?Nope. I'm a leftie.

Chewing Gum on the Bedpost I would be that the "younger generation" has probably never even heard this expression--I don't think my daughter would be familiar with it! But my mother was! I remember her either singing it or telling us about it as kids when we had gum.

Nowadays, I'm sure you're right--we would not save our chewing gum overnight, stuck on the bedpost or anywhere else! Ewww! The germs!

The bugs that come out at night and crawl all over it! Hehehehe...the dog licking it! (mine would!).

But back in "the day", gum was not so easily attainable and available to children. If you had a piece of it, you savored it and saved it as long as possible. Maybe you weren't even allowed to have it, so you only could chew it when your parents weren't around, and then saved it somewhere (on the bedpost?

) till it was safe to chew it. But the song, well, maybe it was just a fun little ditty with a play on words? Not everything we sing or read is fact and serious--maybe that is the case here.

Just a fun song to sing back then, with silly lyrics. But, by the way, I DO often chew my gum after the flavor is gone! Sometimes it's just a pleasure to chew gum, flavor or not!

I have no idea what the "can you heave it right of left" means, though! And no, I've never caught gum on my tonsils! Poppet Sources: Just my opinion.....

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
