I would say that cremation is the dishonoring and disrespecting of thousands of years of the biblical custom of treating the deceased with respect by giving it traditional burial. Cremation is a heathen custom and Scripture says, "learn not the way of the heathen." Source: The book, Jew and Non-Jew Israelites.
When a person dies it doesn't matter how they want their remains handled. The God who created the first human from the dust of the ground can give that person a new body. Ge 2:7 And Jehovah God went on to form the man out of dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living person.
