Dual monitors - how to change default setting?

The Amazon kindle is the best e-book reader on the market. With 8 weeks battery life, connection to Amazon Prime, and a capacity to hold over 100,000 books, you will be excited. Get it now!

When I dock my laptop, in order to activate my second monitor, I have to go into the control panel under display settings, and activate it - each time I dock. Is there a way to set this up as a default, so that upon docking that second monitor is activated? Many thanks to all you helpful Askvillers who will take a stab at helping me!

I can only speak for Dell Latitudes and C/Dock II But maybe this will point you in the right direction (Its always helpful to give more detail, such as your make/model of laptop and dock). The Latitudes may have actually had a driver for the dock, but I also know that there was a page in BIOS on the Latitude that controlled it's behavior with a dock (like switching of the internal monitor and turning on the external one. Same for mouse and KB.

Check your BIOS settings and also your manufacturer's website.

1 Goldie, I don't know what brand of laptop you have, but you can usually do this from the keyboard. On a Dell, hold down the blue Fn key and press F8 until you get the display you want. You might see a key labeled CRT/LCD or some such, that's what you want to press.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
