That sounds like it could be Bell's Palsy. That's not as serious as it sounds. My girlfriend just got over a bout with this about one year ago.

It’s a neurological disorder brought on by a number of things. Hers was due to being sick and having allergies. The course of treatment was prednisone and antibiotics,so you may want to speak to your doctor about this.

Here’s a reference article that talks about Bell’s Palsy. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bell’s_palsy Here are some exercises that may help as well. bellspalsy.ws/exercise.htm If you have had any kind of congestion in the recent past or have allergies,my guess is Bell’s Palsy.

I’m not a doctor,I’m simply speaking from experience. Bell's Palsy This is a partial or total paralysis of the facial nerve that may have various causes, including viral infection. See a neurologist or an ENT specialist for your second opinion - they'll figure it out. Time to get a second opinion I'm no medical professional, but... If I were you or if you were a family member of mine, I'd urge you to get a second opinion. Even if you feel silly doing so. An on-going problem like that sounds like it needs to be examined more carefully.

Bloodwork may be required. Or at least a full physical to make sure that all of your nerves and muscles are functioning as they should. The symptoms you're experiencing could be red flags for developing problems in your body.

And if that's the case, it's better to know sooner rather than later so that you can head off anything that could be developing. Better to be safe and silly, than sorry. Best wishes.

Depending on your age bracket... If you're young, in good physical condition, not overweight, living a healthy life style...maybe your doctor is right. Still, it should have gone away by now if you just slept on it wrong. If you're of Baby Boomer age, overweight, don't exercise, have a lot of stress, well that's another matter.

Depends, too, if you have heart problems in your family. Did your doctor give you an examination, blood pressure? Anything?

Or just 'blow you off'? If you are truly concerned, maybe a 'second opinion' is in order. I could be nothing...or it could have been a minor stroke.

Especially where you're still feeling tired and a bit weird. Your body is trying to tell you something...good idea to listen to it. 1 HELENofTROY, regarding your answer "Depending on your age bracket...":I am younger (35) and a perfectly healthy guy before this popped up. As a matter of fact, I don't think I've been to the doctor in a few years (even then, it was just for a cold). There isn't any drooping or loss of muscle control in my face, so I think my doctor didn't really consider stroke as an option.

From everything I've read, I think he is right. The numbness has subsided some, but then again, I may just be getting used to it a little. You are right though, the weird feeling, being tired, etc. isn't normal for me, so I am going to get a second opinion.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
