Fellow tattooed friends: Do your tattoo's itch or become raised at times?

I'd be concerned about an unbearable itch. It sounds like your skin is having a reaction to the ink itself. How long have you had the tattoo?

How was the healing process? Is the "raised" area scar tissue or a result of scratching? I would suggest seeing a dermatologist to discuss this issue and, if there is something wrong with your tattoo, the artist should be notified immediately!

Yes. Sometimes when I eat spicy Thai food or Wasabi, some of my tattoos get itchy and raised up. Sometimes , if the sun hits them, the black gets raised .

It always goes down though. Just don't scratch too much. I usually put cool water on the area, or bactine.

Good luck!p.s. Keep a log of when it happens. It could just be sunburns, since black attracts the sun, it could happen then.

Or maybe when you have a drink, or if you have a cold. Its a histamine reaction.

I have two tattoos, both with black ink and some colors. In the beginning, they itched while healing, but they have not itched since. It sounds like you might be having a reaction to the tattoos.

When my navel was pierced, it occasionally itched and would swell up if I wore a t-shirt with any type of ink or pattern on the front. It was a nuisance, but since I've taken it out, I've had no problems. I guess it depends on the person.

Well I do not have one but my long time friends of college had got one 5 years ago and whenever it used to itch , he used to apply warm cocunut oil on it . You can google about it more and you find how much qty you can apply.

I have one tattoo on my ankle. My tattoo has 4 colors, red, yellow, black and green. However, I have never had any problems with it itching or feel raised.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
