If you have to choose for gaming, go for a desktop. In terms of performance, a desktop will always outperform a similar laptop. Laptops are designed for mobility and battery power, so they are designed to use less energy, which in turn means they have less power when they need it.
Another concern with heavy gaming on a laptop is heat. Laptops are very sensitive to heat, while a desktop will have much more powerful cooling. Gaming pushes the hardware, and does result in increased heat.
Graphics on a laptop are often integrated or mobile versions, which like the rest of the laptop, trade performance for increased battery life. This means the game has to work harder, but gives worse graphic results (lower framerate, lower graphics settings). Laptops cannot be easily upgraded, except for a few components.
Unless you're looking at replacing a drive or increasing RAM, your laptop will not improve during its lifespan. A desktop, on the other hand, can be easily upgraded. Also repairing laptops is much more difficult than repairing a desktop.
The advantage of a laptop is portability. You can take a laptop anywhere, making it great for people who travel or do a lot of writing. As for a problem with wear and tear on the keyboard/controls of a laptop, this is theoretically an issue, but external peripherals like wireless keyboards and mice eliminate this concern.
If just play at home, desktop hands down, so much more powerful than a laptop. Also, it's cheaper, easier to upgrade, fix and maintain. And when is the last time you hooked up a 4k monitor to your laptop and play high end games on ultra?
BTW, PC includes windows laptops and desktops.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
