As so often is the case Douglas Adams put it nicely. After millions of years the computer gave them the answer 42. Only for them to then realise they had no idea what the question was.
So it is with ID - instead of starting with the answer 42 they start with the answer - God. They then try to work out what it is that leads them to that answer. No wonder the poor things are confused.
(Of course - starting off with the wrong answer does not help).
Interesting, Alchemy was considered both a "science" and "magic" at it's advent. As a scientist, I can tell you that ALL theories take time to develop...it's the questioning that is the core of scientific principle, NOT the answer. And if you truly understood science, then you would also understand that NO theory can be proven to an ultimate state...they are constantly amended.
ADD: And I say that as an agnostic who realizes that the theory of I.D. is simply a marketing ploy to get the masses to accept a Creator. ADD2: All claims need to be backed up by evidence. So, if they do not seek to answer the question, you would make your argument stronger with evidentiary facts showing this point.
In other words, your claim is no better than theirs.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
