Going on demi-pointe in ballet pointe shoes?

To do pointe you must have done at least 2-3 years of classical ballet training with correct technique and the guidance of a professional teacher. And as you get to pointe, you slowly work your way up by doing strengthening exercises, basic exercises maintaining technoique, and it can be ages before you get anywhere near pirouettes espec fouettes! In NO WAY should you be teaching yourself pointe by yourself without a teacher.

Doing/teaching yourself pirouettes en pointe without guidance is probably the worst possible thing to do, especially ebcause you don't even do ballet so you're probably not doing it correctly anyway. Also, triple pirouettes and doing fouettes correctly is extremely hard when on FLAT, and to do it en pointe is a whole other skill. Before even thinking of pointe, you should learn to do it with correct technique on flat and perfect it (with the guidance of a teacher of course!) being able to do this en pointe is something that takes months of practice-even if you do 5 ballet classes a week.

You could LITERALLY break your foot, sprain an ankle and never be able to dance again. & its likely you're not even wearing the right shoes. When you buy pointe shoes, whether its your 1st time or 10th time, you go into the store and get fitted by a professional.

The fact that you're wearing the wrong shoes puts you in even more danger. Trust me its dangerous and idiotic. Return your pointe shoes or damage your feet, simple as that.

Seriously go and take ballet classes, and maybe after a little while you'll be able to do pointe work and one day you might be able to do pirouettes and fouettes on pointe perfectly, and you can do it all day long. And make sure you ALWAYS dance on correct flooring (ideally sprung wooden floors with tarkett) to ensure safety. Urgh stupidity.

Most definitely they are not the right fit, as you have to be professionally fitted for pointe shoes. Not to mention you won't even know how to prepare them for dancing (sewing on elastics and ribbons and breaking them in). You won't be able to use them even if you tried!

What a waste of money.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
