The guidelines state that AHSP and GPs may perform group education activities. If patient clinical management is precluded, what activities are permissible?

Panels funding can be used to fund education activities aimed at GPs, nursing staff and/or aged care facility residents. Generally the purpose of this education should be to improve the quality of care provided, better inform the range of care options available, or provide broad population health strategies to assist residents in maintaining good health. Any model which provides individual patient specific advice, whether in a group session or individually treated, is likely to be viewed as a treatment session by the Department and is precluded under the Panels Initiative.

A key consideration when proposing panel activities should be whether the activity is tailored to an individual patient’s needs. If so, then the service being provided, while it may be providing information, is seen as patient management rather than educative in nature. Divisions are encouraged to approach their STO to seek advice on their particular model, if there are any concerns.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
