The sound may not differ much, how about the quality of its construction, the wood, the components, the makers heritage and the feel of it. Your amplifier and pedal set up gives sound difference in terms of the signal processing.

Yeah man, a lot if guitars are like that, if your looking for a good sound just replace your pickups and get some erny balls strings and it will feel and sound way better, I recommend humbuker pick ups.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
