Had the best interview for a job at a public high school over a month ago. Haven t heard back, no rejection e-mail either. Is there hope?

For college, you can get loans, grants and scholarships. You can get enough money to live in a dorm if you want. You can also apply to a "needs-based" college: for example, Davidson College in North Carolina aims for all students to graduate without debt.

They do it by grants and work-study programs rather than loans. You're "fully prepared to do whatever it takes to provide" for yourself? Really?

How about working a regular job that will lead to a career, not just something that will lead to your hating men and despising yourself? Stripping isn't a picnic. It changes your personality within a couple of months.

It is a message to yourself that you're not valuable for your brains, personality and drive, just for your youth. The whole "unique personality" thing becomes unbelievable when you're just another set of breasts and thighs, in a room full of them. It's a cliché that all strippers, when asked what they do in their spare time, say "I'm going to college."

So if you are willing to work hard, get a job that values that. Try working as a saleswoman at a car dealership, where you can make whatever income you choose by working hard and using your brains and personality. Your whole message here is that "stripping is your last option" but I don't think that's true.

I think you haven't put much thought into anything else. You have lots of options, like maybe sucking up to your parents so they let you stay there, or looking into college scholarships, or becoming a nanny to a family with kids, or taking a sales job that depends on your working hard, or talking to your high school counselor, or moving in with a friend's family, or going to community college for two years to keep your costs down, or starting a blog with videos and getting advertising, or joining the military, or becoming a writer for pay, or seeing if your local Rotary Club will sponsor you to live overseas with a family for your last year of high school. You have lots of choices.

You're not talking about this like it's your last option, you're talking about it like it's your first thought and you've been too intellectually lazy to think creatively. Saying this is your last option shows that, while you write well enough to go to college, you lack imagination and insight.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
