Has anyone ever heard of Gather? It's another social networking site?

Yes I was on Gather for a short period but after a while it wouldn't let me sign in. I started a new account and the same thing would happen again so I didn't bother with it anymore.

I use my gather account to promote my hubpage. Its great for sending out group messages. I write about cats and dogs so I joined a lot of cat and dog groups there.So when I post a new story on hubpages I'll go to gather and create a post with the hubpage link and send it to all of the members of my groups.

That drives the traffic back to hubpages.

I haven't yet, squidoo pays, its kinda cute, I like how you can imbed java script to the article easier than here, just like on blogger, and I have adsense on my blog, so it helps, and an amazon book shelf, but I admit I really like Hub pages too, I don't get as tempted to leak out personal info here like on facebook, where they make a killing off of us, only to violate privacy consistently..... I refuse to work on a site that doesn't pay now, they get too much as is... plus here its more professional that just a social site... I used to play around on soda head too, but they violate privacy alot too.... best to stick to articles not socializing... its like my father says, facebook is a pedophiles dream, mommies always posting baby photos and bragging, to total strangers, just an accepted friend request from who knows ....

Yes I have, its a paid social network where you can register, win cash and prizes, in many ways a copy of Hubpages as far as I can tell. I went there--not interested now-, maybe in 2011 when the bugs are worked out I may return but for now I like hubs far better, but thats just my own opinion. Everyone should GO and check it out for themselves.Peace.

Yes and it does pay. Can be addictive and also tedious when you are close to the cashout level. Some flaming or dirtching will occur.

I try to stick to safer topics but it pays cash.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
