Has anyone ever used a repair guide to fix the Red Ring of Death on the XBOX 360?

I tried the repair guide that I mentioned above in the link and it fixed the red ring of death. Now my XBOX 360 is working like new again. The DIY repair took about an hour, not too hard at all.

Thanks for the answer. The repair guide basically shows you how to open your xbox and fix it yourself so that you don't get the red ring of death error. The RROD has to do with overheating inside the console, dust build up and other matter that blocks ventilation can cause your xbox to overheat.

Again here is the guide if you want to fix your xbox 360 yourself, you can check out the link listed above the previous answer. It will also tell you what are the primary causes of the RROD.

Yes I have tried one of these repair guides and it worked for me. I actually have a video in my XBOX Hub that will probably help you for free though. Also if you have the XBOX in a confined space try moving it to a place where it can get more air.

This is the usual fault with these is that they overheat due to no ventilation. Don't know if I am allowed to link here or not so maybe just look at my profile and you will see my xbox hub there with the video in it.

Never used this. My boyfried used to work at a game stop and he claims there is no permanent fix for it. He recommends buying a xbox that is an arcade version or newer. So sorry to hear of your trouble.

We have lost 3 systems the same way :(.

Yes some of them are great but be careful some of them are bull crap. You should choose one with customer service check out my blog for details myxboxrepair.com.

Yeah, a lot of gamers have managed to fix the red ring of death using a repair guide. Generally most errors that modern gaming consoles such as the Xbox 360 and PS3 experience are fairly easy to fix in a "DIY" manner. It's a better option than paying someone else to do it, or paying Sony to fix the problem as well.

Under my profile you will find a number of hubs about fixing the red ring of death, as repairing gaming consoles is what I do for a living. Hope this helps,James Philipson.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
