Has anyone noticed an increase in traffic after adding a "summary"?

I can't say that I have but I'm not sure if enough time has passed since I started adding summaries. Google's spiders crawl the web indexing sites and they visit sites with more dynamic content more frequently. They also learn which sites have more static content and visit them less frequently. So summaries added to such sites may time more time to be re-indexed and possibly see increased traffic.

I added summaries to only some of my hubs to see if it seems to make a difference. For me, the jury is still out.

Well sure, you get it cause the summary links your hub to the search engine results which in result increases your traffic.

I wrote a hub on an innovative way to get lots of traffic to your hubs, so if you want check it out!

We are worried about tags, bounce rate, repeating keywords, linking out to rich source and informative low PR websites etc etc etc.

I honestly feel that things have gotten far worse after Panda and the whole thing is a mess. I don't think we should give up because if we do enough work then maybe we will hit the jackpot with one of our pages. Maybe we have to write far more pages so that we have more playing chips for this jackpot.

I have a site somewhere and I did an experiment to reduce the amount of text to 1/3 of what it normally should be and I found that it is ranking high for many keywords. There is the question now of "how many words should be contained in a page? " .. I have a hunch .. People might want to investigate this ...

Do you notice that a ton of Youtube videos get incredibly high ranked in the SERPS and if you go to those video pages (which are webpages) then you might notice there is hardly any text (if at all) Youtube is a Page Rank 9 Website and that is probably why. The problem is that not every blogger wants to be a Vlogger.

Yep, not on all of my hubs but on certain hubs my daily views have gone up over 300%. On the keyword rich summaries not so good but the excited grab your attention summaries very good.

The reason for the so-called summary is clear. Most search engines use that text as what YOU want the short description of your hub to be, when see in search results. It only makes sense that if you write a good summary that has the main keyword or keywords for your hub you will get more traffic.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
