Have 2 lines with ATT. Only mom's number is eligible for iPhone upgrade. Can I buy it using her number and activate it for my number?

The 'official' policy is no, but when I worked at RadioShack this was common practice for us. My advice would be to upgrade yours mom's line with her present, just play along that it's going to be for her. Then just switch SIMs with her as soon as you walk out of the store.

You might need to extract the SIM (special tool), I'm not 100% positive about that. Good luck!

As I understand the official company policy, the answer is no. My wife and I have tried the same thing, our contracts expire within weeks of each other, and I'm on a premier customer account. However, some local retail stores may not strictly adhere to the company policy and work around the system with some clever account manipulation.

Based on my experience is it extremely unlikely ATT would be okay with this.

If you are, I am pretty sure after reading a few things that you can not because you have to physically go into the store and change out your phone. Sorry if that wasn't your question; it wasn't too clear to me. Look at these things though: wirefly.com/upgrades/eligibility/att/ blogs.computerworld.com/at_t_wont_sell_m....

I did this with Verizon a while back. My line was not eligible for new every 2 upgrade. But my husbands line was... I upgraded the phone to my husbands line, and then after it was activated and ready to go, they were able to switch numbers on the phone. So I had the upgraded phone on my account, and my husband had my old phone (for some reason, he really liked that phone I had lol).... Im sure that ATT will do that too.

Just ask them.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
