Have Britney Spears and Russell Brand ever dated?

Its true it is a very flirtatious VMA promo and in fact it has been celebrity gossip since late 2008 that the two are dating. In September of 2008 they were seen sneaking out of an LA restaurant after a, supposedly, candle lit dinner. Apparently they are dating but its not official, an MTV article about the VMA video calls it "the elephant in the room".

To me these kind of dating celebrity gossips are always atleast partly true. Celebs just try every way they can to avoid paparazzi and the next big story, especially for Britney because of her childrena and maybe her publicists think it will look bad if she is dating an ex druggy and apparently a sex addict. Britney's choice in men has always been peculiar so I think this gossip is true.

I don't think Britney and Russell have ever dated. I think at most they've had some encountered. Users on Who's Dated Who, have not mentioned Russell and Britney.

She has a very interesting dating history, I'd say he's definitely her type. Right now, I believe she's dating her agent unless that's fizzled out already.
