Have the progressives screwed up our education system this much?

When the US dropped the first atomic bomb, they got the message but they couldn't believe it. A weapon like this had never been seen before so when people were sending messages reporting the damage, the leaders thought the reports must be false or over exaggerated. When the second bomb was dropped, the same kind of damage reports were coming in so at this point they knew the US had some new kind of weapon and their only option was to surrender.

Surrendering was dishonorable but they were forced into this position where there was no honor left to take. The decision was either surrender or get bombed into oblivion with no chance of survival. They wouldn't be given a chance to die on the battlefield or die fighting against US soldiers.

They would simply be dealing with an enemy which flew high over them and reigned destruction down upon them.

No, they needed to be reminded by a second bomb on Nagasaki!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
