Have you ever gotten into your car and drove somewhere randomly, with no direction in mind?

I'm not talking about just driving around your neighborhood, but a drive of a few hours. Where did you go? Did you experience anything new or suprising?

How did you feel about the trip when you got back home? Asked by NanoNano 25 months ago Similar questions: car drove randomly direction mind Transportation > Automotive.

We decided to use the car's hood ornament as a compass lead, so we followed it from New York to Vermont looking for snow, we found it and to our surprise we also found a very enjoyable homestyle restaurant on a back road that had the absolute best cooked turkey with all the country fixins we ever had! A great day trip with a great meal and a nice time in the winter snow fall, very quiet and serene and may I say somewhat romantic as well. Sources: HANDS ON EXPERIENCE .

Boy do I remember. Funny you should ask this question since I was just talking about this with my sister not too long ago. My parents use to like to go on long drives on weekends with no destination in mind.

They would load all five of us kids in the family station wagon and head out. We all hated it as kids. All we wanted to do was stay home and play with our friends.

We always bickered with each other in the back seat and got yelled at. I can not tell you home many times one or more of us were told if we did not shut up we would be thrown out by the side of the road. :) How we wished they would throw us out sometimes!

A drive to my father meant a drive only. No stopping for a snack, no stopping to stretch our legs and God forbid one of us had to go to the bathroom. Back then in the 1950's gas was cheap and families did things together.

Even watching TV we all watched the one TV in the living room. As a kid I have to admit that the best part of the "drive" was when we pulled back into the driveway and we were home again.

Doing it all the time I'm doing it every now and then with the motorbike to clear my head. Because I'm not thinking about work, family or anything like this, just riding along and concentrating on the 'unknown' roads. I think the longest one I ever done was for 4 hours,- was quite exhausted when I got back.

But if I do the normal 1-3 hours I get back home VERY relaxed, feel peaceful and calm :-) .

1 I used to love getting lost when I was younger. It was a great feeling knowing that I have good memory and a good sense of direction.

2 I had a friend in the car. She was unhappy and we were just going to get away from her house, so there was no destination in mind. But we ended up driving for hours and talking about her relationship.

I was so young at the time I didn't think the trip (gas was about 20 cent a gallon), or the fact that a woman would talk to me about a "relationship" was weird. We turned around from the Las Vegas city limits and headed back to LA. She was in better spirits, and we joked and had fun on the way back, even buying postcards at depressing little gas stations to commemorate the trip.

I still remember that as one of the great trips in my life, because, or in spite of there being no destination, no sexual tension, and no great purpose other than to help a friend.

There is currently a sniper in the Dallas area shooting randomly at cars. " "My alarm goes off randomly ever since getting new car battery 3wks ago. I stopped setting alarm & still goes off.

6 hrs later I drove it and the service engine light came on. Wat 2 do?" "What is the vintage car that Gabriel Macht (Johnny) drove in the movie "Because I said so". " "what movie did a supercharged car get burried and the driver drove it out of the hole" "i was in a minor fender bender, the car behind me hit my bumper.

I did not get out of the car, I drove off.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
