Have you ever heard of a symptom of gallbladder problems being a sensation of muscle pain in the upper back?

Almost like a contraction of the muscles between the ribs all the way around the upper rib cage. I am not asking about pain anywhere near the actual gallbladder.... This is referred pain. This is referred pain, and this chart shows you the areas where gall bladder pain can be felt on the body. The upper back, shoulder is one of the sites.

I have that! After being sick and a lot of testing I found out I have issues with my gallbladder. No stones, and not a bad enough issue to make surgery worth the risk.

I have actually lost a lot of function of my gallbladder and so it does not always function right. But I get pain going from about my shoulder blade to the front side of my ribs on my right side. The pain I get goes from feeling like I slept funny or stretched something funny to like I slept on a lumpy rock on my right side.

If I eat too much greasy foods it gets it fired up and hurting. If it gets bad sometimes I have to go on a bland mellow diet (usually rice & beans) to give my gallbladder a break. I also at time notice high fiber can irritate mine... sometimes something as simple and good as a salad will not agree.

Also TMI! I do know that also times my gallbladder is irritated I have more incidences of loose stools which is more incentive to not eat greasy/fatty foods. I also get heartburn easier than I used to.

I have also heard of people getting shoulder pain from their gallbladder. Hope this helps a little. Sources: My own experience .

Yes, I have heard of it My cousin’s husband had open heart surgery about a year ago & he’s been doing great. But recently, he’s been having what he described as chest pains. So he went to the hospital & had a stress test & an angiogram.

Both came back perfect. No problems whatsoever. I mentioned it to my daughter, who’s an RN & she said it could be a symptom of gall bladder problems.

I told my cousin about it & she said they’d have to check it out. I haven’t heard back from her. But apparently, yes, it can flare up that way.

Sure, it's called "referred pain" - some gall bladder attacks mimic heart attacks. The reason for this is that there are areas of the body which are ennervated more prominently than others - when we experience something that we haven't felt before, sometimes the neural signals are misinterpretted as coming from somewhere else.

No, but taurine can be rid of crusty bile and lemon juice in water can help release bile and may help it.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
