Have you ever read a book that you just couldn't put down? What book and why?

Although I always had read children's books, one of the first serious books I read when I was about 10 was Lord of the Rings. It was one of the most captivating books I have ever read, with it's amazing prose and poetry, excellent plot and superb attention to detail. It's a very long and difficult book to read, but I read the book in about 3 days - sadly I had to sleep!

The book has really inspired my love of reading, and now of writing...

The current novel I'm reading is one of those. It's "The Accidental Bestseller" by Wendy Wax. It's a bit of a trip, but I rather enjoy it.

I only have to put it down so much because I'm always tired (pregnancy) and if I don't, I'll just fall asleep in the middle of it. It's great though. Very inspiring.

One of the best books I have ever read was called, "A Child Named It. " It is a story about a little boy who was severely and abused by his mother. I have read the book several times.

When you think you have it rough, read this book. You will learn to be grateful for what you really have.

I'm an avid reader and have read many great books in my lifetime that I "just couldn't put down". Typically it's one that brings together romance, mystery and history. Nora Roberts is just one of my favorite writers.

I love her style because often times when the story ends I feel like I really know the characters so well that it is disappointing when the story ends. I recommend any of Nora's books.

When I read an "An Unquiet Mind" by Kay Redfield Jamision, I read it straight from the beginning to the end. Its a memoir about a psychologist's experience with bipolar disorder. Her experiences coping with her issues is touching and inspiring to everyone.

Confessions from J.J. Rousseau. From the first page, I felt this man and... his writings inspire me to become one like him.

I have read MANY books that I had to finish before closing. As a favorite one that is very hard to choose. I love all kinds of books and have many favorites.It is impossible to choose just one.

Yes lots, the latest novel I am reading is War Without Ends by Ken Follett. Its brilliant, the story, narratives, are captivating, they just keep you the readers going, its such a good, easy, layback yet sophisticated style that you can't put the book down.

A while back I read the novel, "Flowers in the Attic," and I could not put the book down. When I had to take my car in to be serviced, I took the novel with me and read it while I waited for my car. I just couldn't put that book down!

There was a TV movie based on the novel -- that did not do the book justice. If you decide to read this book, don't be surprised if you shed a few tears! Great novel!

Yes the Quran. I have read it and continue to read it regularly, it is the perfect guide to living well and leading a good life. It covers every topic you can think off, and equally appeals to all.

I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings was one of the books I just couldn't put down. I am a huge fan of Maya Angelou and enjoyed reading about her humble beginnings and never stop marveling over her wide spread fame now.

The Little Prince is the one book that comes to mind. It inspires me to become a better person.

Ofcourse my book, Resident Manager A Job Truly Underestimated by Most. It's a thin book but a great, interesting and hilarious read.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
