Whatever your back ground (not back round) Most of your statements are vague. Where are your facts? The Pilgrim Fathers arrived in America to start a colony away from religious persecution (when?) - they weren't segregated, they were persecuted in England.
The USA defeated Britain in the revolution (when?) what was the revolution about? The Boston Tea Party story fits in here somewhere, and taxes imposed by the British (I'm not a historian, I'm simply trying to remember what I learned at school 50+ years ago) All the resources were not used up in Britain (we still have resources now). I think you will disappoint your teacher if you don't do at least a little reading around the subject, and get some facts down on paper instead of generalised statements.
You mention Teddy Roosevelt without explaining how he is relevant.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
