How are the NOW membership fee and donated monies used?

Your annual membership fee includes membership at the national, state, and local chapter levels. This means that your membership in Baltimore NOW comes with automatic, full membership in both Maryland NOW and national NOW as well as the local Baltimore chapter. Your one annual fee goes to support NOW at each of these three levels--provided you affiliate with a local chapter.

If you don't affiliate with a local chapter, your membership supports only activism at the state and national levels and not at your local community level. National dues goes toward staffing the office in Washington, which actively lobbies federal government officials and agencies on womens issues, publishes the National NOW Times, etc. State dues goes toward coordinating the efforts of the local chapters, staffing the Maryland NOW Lobbyists office, publishing The Maryland NOW Times, etc. Local chapter dues goes toward organizing local workshops, protests, social events, and other activities, publishing the ... more.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
