I applaud your efforts to retain your sense of self while striving for a touch of fashion. While I don't consider Ellen to be "butch", I think her clothing style is neutral and classy. Her pieces all seem to work together and it's kept simple.
Now, I know she has plenty of help with her wardrobe, but it never appears that she's dressing to be something or someone she's not. I would suggest taking a look at articles of clothing that she wears that you feel drawn to and build from there. All the best!
I have been having trouble recently in terms of staying fashionable while still being adult, and not getting rid of my physical identity altogether. What kinds of clothing could I wear that both affirms my desire to be masculine while still being acceptable in a work environment? I have been buying clothes that I like and they never seem to match together the right way.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
