There are a lot of options out there right now. To start you can go to Wal-Mart and they have a phone called Net10. You could also try T-Mobile @ t-mobile.com and then go to T-Mobile to go or visit a T-Mobile store.
T-Mobile has a phone starting at $29.99 on-line, after that you can purchase minutes at any rate you would like. You can also purchase a phone at the Wal-Mart store and do the same thing I just don't know the price. You usually get a better deal on-line.
T-Mobile http://my.t-mobile.com/Login/?rc=&dest=https%3a%2f%2fmy.t-mobile.com%3a443%2fDefault.aspx Phones start at $29.99 and up, you can purchase prepaid phone cards in multiple denominations 10,25,50, 100 etc. I don't know what thw cost is on an avareage you wou;d have to contact them. ATT Go Phones This varies depending on where you live, so you will need to input your information at the website.

That's why I like T-Mobile, Verizon, and ATT services.
Good Luck also, check to see if they have roamomg fees..
You always can buy very cheap especially GSM cellphones. You just visit any service providers or mobile phone stores. Nowadays, GSM cellphones become so cheap that you can have them for even some $20-30.
You can find these cellphones through cellphone stores or service providers and they're original. Because of the fast production of high tech cellphones, GSM becomes so cheap. You can look for them anywhere even in sidewalks.
Just be sure you only get the sealed ones so you're protected you don't get the reconditioned ones. Buy only the original so it will last for long. Sources: IT'S MY OWN OPINION..
You can find some on Ebay Used, unlocked phones are rather expensive. You can find some older ones pretty reasonably at Ebay. I found a Nice blackberry phone at a garage sale.It was unlocked and cost $5 .
1 Hookem210, regarding your answer "There are a lot of options out there right now. ":Thank you! Your advice to look at T-mobile for a $30 phone is exactly what I was looking for.
Although, since I will be taking the phone with me to thailand, and will be buying a prepaid service there, I don't really need the info about the pre-paid plans. Does anyone know if there are GSM phones cheaper than $30USD?

2 T mobil may not be GSM. You have to get it unlocked to use it in Thailand. You can buy an unlock code on Ebay for about $10, or you can buy an older unlocked phone on Ebay.
You can probably buy a cheap phone there too.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
