How can I convince my parents to let me buy a laptop computer?

If they didn't use any money towards the laptop then don't worry what they say. If your dad says no again politely remind him that he did not use any of his money towards the laptop. The day that you leave sneak the laptop inside your luggage if he continues to say no.

Its disrespectful on his part to not allow you control over the things that you paid your own money for. I would suggest talking with him about why he doesn't want you using the computer or bringing it with you.

I'm afraid you cannot convince your parents to do anything. But, you can show them that you are responsible and know what you are talking about. First, I HIGHLY recommend that you join 4-H.

It'll give you acsess to shows and learning activities like Horse Bowl and Hippology. Create a packet to show your parents. This may take some time, but as soon as I presented this, about a month later we went to look a horse for lease.

In the packet, you should go to an experienced horse person, and figure out the cost of a horse. This includes vaccines, dewormers, shoeing/trimming, tack, and the price of the horse. Ask the experienced horse person what height, age, sex, and discipline of a horse they would recommend for you.

Gather all the information you can. Then, list the responsibilities you'll have as a horse owner. Tell them that you understand that you have to keep your grades high and keep up on your chores, and that you understand that there may be consequences if you fail to do so.

Then, allow them to talk. Don't rush them! Then, show them a paper and have them sign a contract stating that they will begin looking for a horse to purchase/lease and that they understand the responsibilities you'll have.

I cant guarantee it'll work, but it did for me! Good luck!

So really it's not a question of - let my parents give me the permission to buy me a horse but, get my parents to give me huge ammounts of money for a horse. Let me put this a bit more in perspective. $2500 could easily pay for the average family, 2 parents 2 children, for about 1 1/2 years.

$2500 is a hell of a lot of money, and that's only base line costs. If your family only just have enough money now, where do you think they're going to get all this excess money from? From your question you have not mentioned at all putting any effort into helping to pay for this horse, no mention of a part time job, working to pay off some of the money, and no real acknowledgement of anything of the responsibility that comes with a horse.

Even say if you can afford this cost, what about boarding, feed, shoes, worming, vets bills, grooming etc equipment, replacing broken items? Have you concidered those costs? You say you think you can bring this horse far - so what are you going to get your horse to shows with?

Transport over here in the uk can cost £100 rented for a there and back trip. Cost of a trainer? £20 a lesson if you're lucky.

This is not a game of convincing, this is reality. Horses are expensive, and you can convince your parents as much as you like that they have money - it doesn't mean it's going to turn up. What about getting a job and working for this horse?

Then maybe you'll realise how many hours of hard work it takes to earn $2500.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
