The joy of the Divine is present when you stand in a stable and witness the birth of a foal and watch her try to stand and take her first step. Smile with the Holy as you return home late from work, exhausted and frustrated, open the front door, and are greeted with a big lick and a tail intensely wagging. In that moment of adoration and acceptance, there is a peace and love beyond description.
These are the simple moments of life when the Holy intersects with our busy lives and says, En-Joy. Love rests in the center of joy and the Divine. Loving another person is the incarnation of Divine joy.
I believe, as many scriptures say, each of us is imago dei, created in the image of God. As we love our selves and others we experience the joy of the Divine. Examine your relationships with friends, family, and coworkers, and be aware that the joy you receive and give in these holy relationships makes you whole.
When you feel frustrated with organized religion or too tired to participate in the rituals you feel you should perform, visit your own altar. Pick a spot in your home where you can create a special devotional space with your favorite inspirational books, a candle, and a place to sit. When you trust and frequent this sacred space, it will be a place where you will experience the joy of meeting with the Divine.
When you bring yourself to the shore, it's more likely that you will immerse yourself in the water than if you don't show up at all. The Divine is a source of pure joy. I invite you to open your heart to the infinite opportunities to experience joy with the Divine.
Whether it is in a glorious lavender sunset over the ocean, the purring of your cat on your chest, the body of your partner or child against yours, or at the altar of your local worship center, seize the joy!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
