Yes, you can make the url column unique. So a big INSERT IGNORE INTO ... (...) VALUES (...), (...), ... will do the job.

You can have as many UNIQUE indexes as you like, but only one PRIMARY one (which is why it's called primary).

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
