You could be poorly educated versus "slow". Or you could have a mild intellectual disability. Either way, not really much to do about it.
Are you employed? With a sixth grade education there is lots of work you can do. You obviously can use a computer and write OK.
If you are thinking of getting benefits - not likely to be approved at this late point in your life on the basis of an intellectual disability. Do you need help in some way? You can check with your local Center for Independent Living, the Arc, Easter Seals, Area Agency on Aging (you are over 55) or call 211 and ask them for suggestions.
You just call 211 on your phone and a local person will help you find resources.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
