How come the flashers still keep ticking even though everything is off on a 1999 gmc jimmy?

Any time an electrical component in a vehicle is on when it should be off indicates a cross short or a faulty ground. Some switches provide power to a component, while others provide the ground. The component is receiving its power or ground when it should not.

Could be the switch as well, though it's unlikely.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
