How did this tamil - hindi divide come into place,what made hindi not being taught and spoken in Tamil Nadu?

To spread Devotion among the people, the temples are built. In an emergency times, the temples will be used as shelters to the people. This is the main motivation of building temples besides encouraging the arts.
