How do I get the CD's I downloaded into iTunes to appear in Windows Media Player?

I downloaded over 1200 songs from CD's into iTunes and I cannot get them to load into Windows Media Player. I have modified the folders to be searched but no matter what I do they will not show up. One thing I did do was "Export Library" in iTunes.

This created an . Xml file. I thought this would help but I fear I have just created a big mess.

Your best bet is to simply use Windows Media Player to import the CD's in the first place. ITunes uses a different filetype (.m4a) for their music files. To add music on CDs, simply pop the CD into your computer.
