How do I make my external hard drive be the F: drive instead of the G: drive?

Hi bryan you can however the main problem you will encounter is "file system" incompatibility" .. this is because apple ( and osx ) use a different file system to windows .... so any files that have been generated on a apple mac won't be recognized on your pc infact in its default state it probally won't be usable on a pc ... you need to change the file system from HSF( Hierarchical File System ) to NTFS (new technology file system ) so it can be seen ok in windows and depending on which platform you format the drive in will determine how this is done ... personally I would format it using windows ... plug in the drive and when it appears in "computer "( windows vista,7 and 8 ) right click and select "format" ,, then select "ntfs" from the drop down menu and then make sure quick format is checked ... then start if your drive hasnt appeared in windows try control panel>administrive tools >computer management>drive management ..... some drives that don't appear in windows may appear hear and can be formatted the same as normal .. if you still experience problems you may want to try the live linux tool "gparted"( http://gparted.sourceforge.net ) .. this is a iso file that needs to be burned to disk ( as a image ) and then you can boot the disk from cd and run gparted .. this is a advanced partitioning tool that recognizes both windows and mac osx file systems ...... it can also shrink and expand partitions and much more ... download it here... http://sourceforge.net/projects/gparted/... I hope this helps bryan .. any questions let me know good luck mate!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
