3 Oh... and I wanted to mention that I set up my own LLC many years ago. I can't remember enough of the laws or details to really help you. I just remember reading a lot of books, researching, and then finally going downtown.
I spent all day running from one government building to the next filling out various forms and paying various fees. At the end of the day I had an LLC though. It isn't hard, just takes some legwork... literally in my case.
But you need to research and decide which type of company is right for you, and you need to learn the laws about paying taxes and such. As far as buying from wholesalers, from what I can tell they typically set their own requirements about what form of resaler's license or tax IDs you need.
