Win-tin-tin is the latest piece of M$ bloatware. It's more stable than win8, but it has a few foibles than make migration from 8 (or 8.1) to 10 a bit touchy -- some things that worked perfectly under 8 don't do so well in 10. Overall, you'll have to go to 10 (or a later version) eventually, so, you might as well go there to start.
