How do volunteers help the Wyoming County American Red Cross?

Blood Services: Volunteers serve at blood drives throughout the area to greet and register donors, serve as escorts, and provide canteen/refreshments services to donors and to recruit donor appointments for upcoming blood drives after they have completed their blood donation. Development/Special Events and Projects: Volunteers assist with fundraising and various events which the Red Cross conducts throughout the year. Some of these events include the Spring Craft Show, Founders Day booth, Wyoming County Fair booth, health fairs, and the Heroes Breakfast, just to name a few.

We are always looking for new ideas. Emergency Services: Teams of trained volunteers respond around the clock to fires, floods, tornadoes, and other disasters in Wyoming County. (We also provide mutual aid to neighboring counties) Volunteers provide immediate food, shelter, and comfort to those affected by disaster.

Volunteers also provide food and drink to firefighters, police, and other emergency services ... more.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
