How do you bypass the antitheft system on a 98 Pontiac Sunfire?

You need to purchase the bypass kit from your local stereo install shop. In the 98 you have Passlock II I believe. If im wrong its passlock I.

Either way the bypass is pretty easy to do. You will however require a digital volt meter as you will be required to measure the resistance in some pretty small gauge wires Answer Probably by pulling the fuse for the alarm Answer If you pull the fuse on it, the car will be disabled. I am not 100% sure how to bypass it as mine came with an aftermarket alarm.To disable that, I just removed the 'brains' under the steering column.
