How do you decide what gift to purchase for a wedding? Do you buy items listed on the registry or personalize it?

I usually go with the registry when buying the gift for the bridal shower since the couple took time to list the things they would like to have. At the wedding I will give them a check that will cover both our meals and plus an extra $100 to help with additional expenses. That's the way I see it.

I agree with Violet, but miss the days when a simple and meaningful gift would do. Things have changed a lot Believe it or not , in rural places in upstate NY where I am from, that is still being done.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
