How do you feel about this short scene from the movie Goon, my favorite part?

I think all our favourite scenes that are short will have contained something so profound and telling about the movie that it'll tie in or completely shatter what we've been watching leading up to that scene (take the ending of Shutter Island for example). And yep, like you said the bench scene in American History X (everything in that movie was one shocking thing after another, HELL! Anything with Edward Norton in the movie has taught me 'nothing is as it seems' case and point --> Fight Club & Primal Fear).

That said, there are so many 'favourite short scenes', but off the top of my head I'll go with "Carrie". That movie pretty much resonates with kids and adults all ages because it explores "that awkward teenage phase". It shows how apocalyptic your rage can be as a teenager.

The scene I'm pinpointing at is the one near the end that sets up the sequence at prom so you know where everyone is positioned and that the bucket of blood is above Carrie and Tommy's heads. Once the plot is set in motion Pino Donaggio's score takes over. The resulting sequence is pure opera.

It leaves me speechless to this day... BQ: I have to say I've watched some pretty far from decent movies this week. But...Coriolanus. I'm in awe of all that is Ralph Fiennes, just when you think the man can't possible top the high benchmark he's set himself, he does.

He directs the movie and stars as the creepiest villan-y acting I've seen since (that time he played the scary Nazi in Schindler's List). Fiennes himself is demonic, working the scene, scratch that, the entire movie he's scowling and frightening with those terrifying eyes of his. Nobody has eyes like that.

Nobody. The dude is scary. BQ2: :( I'm sorry to hear that Maddie, Saturn gave me a good tip that I thought I should share (but I believe you're a veteran on here so yo as long as you get at least 10 BAs each month and 200pts per week, the orange TC won't fade, hope that helps.

:D I'll go with "The Pianist" BQ3: Hugo! Hugo! Hugo!

:D.

Movie: The Empire Strikes Back Scene: When Yoda is teaching Luke the ways of The Force, more specifically the scene when they raise up Luke's X-Wing Fighter. Yoda says my favorite quote of all time. "Do or do not, There is no try."

BQ1: Well it's more like Franchise of The Week. I've been having a Resident Evil marathon. I watched all 4 movies back to back today.

Tomorrow will be an Underworld marathon, I'm gonna see the new film tomorrow night. BQ2: Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist. Michael Cera is a great up and coming actor.

Kay Dennings is hot. And I just love the story. It's not just about the music.

BQ3: Well I buy Blu-Rays. But my next film I buy will be The Thing (2011). It comes out this Tuesday.

It's a prequel to John Carpenter's 1982 film of the same name. It explains what happened to the Norweigan Base that you see completely destroyed at the beginning of the first film. I love it, it leads directly into Carpenter's film.

There is no break. It's like a two part movie when you add the two together. I already have John Carpenter's The Thing on Blu-Ray.

I look forward to adding the prequel to my collection.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
