How do you keep your pets from taking ornaments off your Christmas tree (specifically cats)?

I have mine permately attached I also keep a empty coke can with 5 pennies in it and duck tape to cover the opening. When the cats get near the tree, I shake the can...............trust me they run like the devil is behind them! Sources: my life with 6 cats .

Move ordaments my cat does the same thing...move your ordaments from the bottom of your tree higher up so that your cat can't reach it.

Hang it higher Mine also does that. So we decided we hang it there where he cant get it, and those which doesn't break lower than those which could.

For the last couple of years, we had the tree in the "no cats allowed" room but other than that, we just put less destructible/less harmful ornaments on the lower levels. This is the same policy I was taught about small children (predictably, taught from childhood). It hasn't always prevented the destruction of ornaments, (One of my cats claimed ONE particular ornamnet as tribute, and left the rest of the tree alone) but at least it's not as hard on the pets as having the dog snacking on the glass balls..

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
