Step 1 Install GParted (see link in Resources). Open the terminal and type "sudo apt-get install gparted." Enter your root password and select "Yes," if prompted.

Step 2 Format your USB drive. Connect your USB drive and run GParted. Click the GParted menu and click "Devices" to select your USB drive.
