Here is how to make a beautiful Christmas snowflake fairy to adorn your Christmas tree. This is an original Kristin La Flamme design. €¢ Gather your supplies.
See list below under "Things You'll Need". €¢ Cut two pieces of wire: one 3 1/2″ long, and the other 7″ long. €¢ Fold the long piece in half.
Using the wire cutters, bend “hands†on each end of the shorter piece. Place it over the folded wire and wrap the folded end all the way around to form the body and neck. €¢ Cut two pieces of felt: one 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ and the other 1″ square.
€¢ Wrap the rectangular piece of felt around the arms and, using a ladder stitch, sew closed. €¢ Cut two “armhole†notches in the square felt. Wrap it around the body and sew closed.
Make a few stitches over the shoulders to keep it from sliding down. €¢ Cut out a paper snowflake with a radius of about 2â€. €¢ Using the paper snowflake as your template, cut a snowflake skirt out of felt.
You could also skip steps 7 and 8 and use a starched crochet snowflake ... more.
If you're getting bored making regular six pointed snow flakes, it's time to take it to the next level. Make snow flakes that form a picture. This paper snow flake depicts three Christmas trees and three mantels with stockings facing each other.
Cut a square piece of paper. Fold the paper in half corner to corner. Find the middle point of the fold.
You can do this by folding in half again, and only just pinching the middle point. Fold the paper into three equal triangular sections. Each section is like a pizza slice with the point at the middle of the first fold.
Use this picture as a guide to cut the paper snowflake holes. It This one was done with scissors, but you will have a little more control with a knife and cutting surface. The shape to the left is the paper snowflake's Christmas tree.
To the right is the mantle with stockings hung from it. More.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
