Stripping the paint off painted baseboards, trim and other woodwork is necessary before you can restore the wood with stain or varnish. There are several ways to strip paint, but no easy way. Sanding it off or using a heat gun are options, but neither is as thorough as chemical stripping.
With the proper precautions (including wearing a respirator), chemical stripping can get wood back to its original bare look with minimal scrapes and gouges. Lay a plastic tarp around the bottom of the woodwork with painter's tape, sealing off the floor where it meets the woodwork. Put tape on the wall around any area where the trim meets the wall, so the wall is covered but the trim is exposed.
Put on your respirator and rubber gloves. Open the paint stripper and brush it onto the baseboard, starting at one end of the room. Work in sections, brushing it on from the top of the baseboard all the way to the bottom, and over about 2 feet of the length.
Let the stripper in each section sit on the paint ... more.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
