How do you replace the starter on a 2002 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab SLT v8 4.7L automatic?

Disconnect the battery. Raise and support vehicle Remove the two bolts holding the starter motor to the transmission housing Do not let the motor drop. Keep the starter motor supported.

Lower it enough to undo the positive side cable nut. Remove the eyelet. Then remove the harness connector from the connection on the starter.It should be free now Install in reverse.
