How do you want to live your life in old age and what is your definition of a happy life of sunset?

Jehovah's Witnesses NEVER said "God was coming to the earth in 1975", and Jehovah's Witnesses NEVER said anything in particular would happen in 1975 other than that it would mark 6,000 years of man's existence on earth. The claim of 1975 was made by some individuals who came up with their idea of the end coming then, and began to spread it to others. It was NEVER an official teaching or belief of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Anyone claiming Jehovah's Witnesses said the end would come in 1975 is a liar - plain and simple. (The answer to the last question by 'danman' is.....HE is.) EDIT: A clear way to assess whether someone's comment is worth considering is whether they have a regular history of spreading hatred, lies, false allegations and trying to promote their opinion as fact.....in this case against Jehovah's Witnesses. A few who have answerd this "question" have such a history, which they further by some of their comments on this question.

To add to it, when one conjures up and makes up "quotes" to use to further an agenda of hate against another group.......right there it plainly shows whether what they have to say is worth anything. They will also try and deflect their own trash by saying something idiotic such as that the number of 'thumbs down' they received has anything to do with their comment being right.

Nope, no one ever stated that Armageddon would occur in 1975. That is an old and tired claim by apostates and people who hate us. This was written by the WTS at the end of 1974 - "The publications of Jehovah's witnesses have shown that, according to Bible chronology, it appears that 6,000 years of man's existence will be completed in the mid-1970's.

But these publications HAVE NEVER SAID THAT THE WORLD'S END WOULD COME THEN. Nevertheless, there has been considerable individual speculation on the matter. So the assembly presentation "Why We Have Not Been Told ‘That Day and Hour'" was very timely.

It emphasized that we do not know the exact time when God will bring the end." - The Watchtower 1974, 10/15 p. 635 I'm no genuius but it seems pretty simple to me. Obviously those who had false expectations (and who decided to leave after 1975 because of their own selfish motives) couldn't read.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
