How do you watch HD camcorder video on TV besides directly connecting the camcorder to TV?

I am planning on purchasing a Sony or Panasonic HD hard drive camcorder. My only concern is if my recording on HD (high def) will remain at HD when put onto DVD. I do have an HD-TV, but don't have an HD-DVD or Blu-Ray players, let alone burners.

Is there a way to put the HD recordings onto DVD to watch on any DVD player? Also which HD camcorder is good? And should I consider a DVD HD camcorder, not hard drive?

I am confused someone please help! THANKS A MILLION! Asked by LakersFreak 47 months ago Similar questions: watch HD camcorder video TV directly connecting Consumer Electronics.

You can put HD on to a normal dvd, but then it will be downgraded and not play in HD You can put HD on to a normal dvd, but then it will be downgraded and not play in HD dvd player as an HD dvd, just as an normal DVD. If you connect your HD camcorder to your HD tv, it will play in HD. But if you don't have an HD dvd burner, and an HD dvd player, you won't be able to burn HD movies to watch on the tv.

You can still burn the dvd to play as a normal dvd. Sources: my opinion .

1 I did not get time to give you a complete answer, but here is a summary. HD camcorders from Sony and Panasonic, the 2 main brands, have choices of using DVD or memory card or hard drive. And, you can choose to record in HD (AVCHD format) or Standard Definition in each model.

Hard drive as the storage is not as portable as memory card or DVD, and DVD also gives you an option to play right away in DVD players. But, if you record HD video in the DVD disc, it can only be played in blu-ray players and dvd roms in computers with the included software, not in regular DVD players at all. If you record standard definition in DVD, then it can be played in regular DVD players.

Memory card is almost the same deal, if your regular dvd player has a slot for memory card, you may only play video recorded in Standard definition, and, most memory slots in regular dvd players are for photo only, not for any video at all. Insert the card to a compute with the included software, it can be played.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
