Askville is currently populated by a group of people that actually want to help and so far by questions that are useful and don't completly consist of spam. Yahoo Answers has been over-run by spammers and trollers. Askville has a large population of people that are trying to fight the spam on here and prevent it from migrating over; kind of like a population control, and so far we've been successful.

Let us hope that we can continue to be successful in the future and keep Askville as a good clean community of people who are willing to help people who need help.

Askville KILLS Yahoo! Askville Vs. Yahoo? Well, I would say that Yahoo Answers is a heck of a lot busier--but I'm sure we can attribute that to the newness of Askville.

There are more "trash" questions on Yahoo, as it's so much more open to posting that Askville is. I think the fact that you have to actually open the question here to answer it before you can see the other answers does two things--makes you want to come up with an answer to see the others, and also prevents alot of the trashtalk that is overwhelming on Yahoo Answers. I think the question categories on Yahoo are clearer and easier to access than the Askville ones.

They have a point system on but until just recently the points were only for competitive reasons. But I think there is lots of potential here! .
