The best approach is bid once, bid your max and bid as close as you can to the end of the auction. The "problem" is not that the last bid wins, but the highest bid wins and you can't see the high bid. While the original bid showing was $303, the other person apparently put in $361.
Since $303 was one increment higher than the person in front of him, it was showing as $303. When you finally bid $483, your bid was higher and one increment was $366. If no one else bids, you win for $366.
366 might be your bid - it only goes up the increment over the 2nd highest bid - in your case the 2nd highest bid was probably around $355-360 and the bid increment was $5-10. If $366 was NOT YOUR BID, then check your maximum bid again - maybe your entry of 483 didn''t go thru.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
