How does CPR save lives?

CPR saves one life only when maintains the blood circulation and the breath until the arrival of a defibrillator, and only in case of cardiac arrest for ventricular fibrillation. The faster the person will be defibrillated, the more likely her survive.

When the blood is not moving through the body and being cleaned by the liver, it becomes highly acidic and you die from metabolic acidosis.

Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation is definitely a life saving procedure. When the chest muscles fatigue out due to persistant overwork, we need to give assisted support just to maintain normal breathing to avoid acidosis. Same situation occurs to the heart when it fails to pump out blood to circulate to whole body and a flickering movement of heart appers which we call as fibrillation.

This results in development of pulmonary edema and acidosis as well. CPR is done to stop ventricular fibrillation.

CPR or Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation saves lives by keeping the brain supplied with oxygenated blood. If the heart stops beating, as in a cardiac arrest or beats ineffectively as in Ventricular Fibrilation then the brain doesn't get an adequate supply of oxygenated blood. This in turn leads to the brain cells starting to die after about 3-4 minutes because of Carbon Dioxide build up and acidosis. To stop this from happening CPR must be started as soon as a cardiac arrest is identified, every minute that passes by after the initial collapse the chance of the person surviving decrease by 10%.

Good effective CPR can keep the brain oxygenated indefinately, unfortunately the person performing CPR may become tired very quickly. This is why the Emergency Services should be called ASAP and if available a Defibrilator attached to the casualty, CPR is a very effective holding method for a cardiac arrest victim but, a Defib and Advanced Life Support will ultimately be the answer to the casualties survival.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
