How does one convert an image to grayscale in OpenGL?

You might be able to convince GL_DOT3_RGB to do what you want.

Well I don't know about "fastest", but you should be able to do the opposite of this tutorial and get the greyscale image you're looking for. The techniques are the same just backwards. nehe.gamedev.net/data/lessons/lesson.asp....

He uses GLSL i.e. A shader – twerdster Dec 29 '10 at 15:29.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
