How does someone fall in love with an inmate she met in prison?

This is an exercise in mind control to a great extent. To the other side of the equation, it represents a strong outcry on the part of your daughter and the life she was leading. She might as well be saying that "in her mind, she has finally found someone who appreciates and cares for her".

It is a silent statement of her own self-esteem. People who have low self-esteem are easily manipulated by those who most others would ignore. For the first time, your daughter may feel that she has met someone who focuses on her.

The guy is prison is protected from her by the bars and his boredom with prison drives him to play with the mind of a young girl to see how far she will go. Concentrate your efforts on regaining your friendship with her first and foremost...you can be the parent later when she regains an appreciation of those roles. If you can regain your relationship, then you can interject information and awareness that may help her.

I would sugges that first and foremost you help her work on her own self-esteem in any way that you can. Once she feels good about herself and builds self-confidence, then she will begin to question the decisions she has made. WB.

Some things are unforgivable, of course: child victimization of any sort, rape, mass murder, and the like - serial arson, and so forth. We're not talking about a Charles Manson sort, or anyone like the Menedez brothers, are we? I ask this as a starting point.

I can "see" you're upset, and I would be too if my daughter were in such a position. Since you opened this subject up to the forum, and therefore, presumably want some help working through it, could we have some more details? Perhaps - just perhaps - if we work through the details, we might (we just might) see that its not so bad.

Lots of innocent people are framed or mistakenly convicted all the time. Maybe he wrote a few bad checks? If so, he must've been desperate.

Do you think your daughter "disowned" you all because of your immediate rejection of her man - (again, which is perfectly understandable under the circumstances)? You know, begall, I am new to Hubpages and relatively new to blogging in general, but it strikes me that you must feel very close to this online community to share something like this.

I am also new to hubpages but desperately seeking advice..He was convicted for possesion of cocaine, possesion of opiates, burglery and theft by taken from a church, obstruction of law officers he has been in and out of jail since he was 18 for basically the same things even unlawful manufacturing of drugs he is now 45 yrs old and this is his pattern my daughter just turned 28 yrs old she has a 3 and 4 yr old little girls he always has to talk on the phone to them and he does not want it on speaker when he does things like this make me very un easy and she has a 9 yr old daughter which I have raised since she was 1 1/2 month old she did drop by to give her a present and this guys mom calls her cell she told me to shhh be quiet and told his mom she was at walmart did not want her to know she was at my house and someone at walmart took a picture of her truck and left and she became very scared it seems to me like something isn't right...

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
